Why should I register on the Providence Bands Website?
Providence Bands is the new student account website for the Providence High School Marching Band. The platform is called Membership Toolkit. This system allows you to sign up for volunteer opportunities, join the Band Boosters, order spirit wear, make a donation, search our student directory and more – in just a few simple online steps and without the Band Booster paperwork and check writing that used to consume your time at the beginning of the season. Board Members also will use this system to communicate throughout the season.
Will this new site replace our current Providence HS Bands website and Charms?
This new website will be replacing Charms to view your student's account, financial activity, balance owed, and make payments. This site will not be replacing our current Providence High School Bands website. You may see overlapping information, but you will leverage this new site primarily for your students' account, complete paperwork, place orders and to sign up for volunteer opportunities.
Should my spouse/partner have a separate account? What if we want separate accounts?
When possible, we recommend creating a single account so that all information including volunteer signs ups, completed forms and purchases, and directory information is stored in one place. When a primary user creates an account, there is a space to invite other email addresses to access the account. This secondary user will have his or her own login information but also have access to the family account, be listed in the directory and receive communications from Board Members. Both adults on the account will be able to sign up for volunteer opportunities, make purchases and complete forms for that student. Only two adults can be listed on one Membership Toolkit account.
For divorced or separated families, one family record can list two separate address and contact details – or each adult can register individually and be listed separately in the student directory. Note that if you do register individually, please notify us via the Contact Us page so we can link your child to both accounts.
What if my child has more than 2 adults who want access to Providence Bands Website?
Membership Toolkit only allows two adults per account, however multiple accounts can be linked to the same student. For families where more than two adults want to access the Providence Bands Website, or for families that want separate logins for each adult, you can create separate accounts.
Can my child have their own account?
- The Parent should select their Membership Toolkit account information by clicking on their name in the login box.
- Choose the Access tab. Complete the information to "Invite Others" to access to their Membership Toolkit account with that organization. (Email Address, Password, and Role = Student)
- The Student will need to click on the link in the email they will receive and follow the steps to create a password for their email login. This link will expire 7 days after it has been sent.
I changed my email address. How do I update my Membership Toolkit login?
To update your email address, log in to Providence Bands and go to your Account Profile by clicking on your name in the Login Box. Select the Access tab and complete the information in the "Invite Others" section to invite another email address to access to your Account Profile. This is where you will put your new email address, but be sure to use your current password. Then, click "send invite” to receive an email at your new email address. Just click on the link in that email to confirm your new email address then you will be directed to select a password for your new email address. You can go back and delete your original email address by logging in with your new email address, going to your Account Profile once again, and removing the old login email address from the record.
How can I change my password?
There are two ways to change your password –
- If you are logged in to Providence Bands, click on your name in the Login Box at the top of your screen. This will take you to the Profile Menu where you can manage most everything about your account, including changing your password.
- If you can’t remember your password, click on “I forgot my password” from the login page. The system will ask you to enter your email address and will send an email with a URL link to reset your password.
Is there a mobile app for my phone?
The Membership Toolkit App is available for free in the Apple Store and in Google Play. Just search for “MembershipToolkit” and look for the Membership Toolkit icon. Once you download the app, you’ll have access to our student directory and PTA calendar. You’ll also be able to make purchases, sign up for volunteer opportunities, and complete forms.
If you are a first time user or an inactive user you must create or update your account through the website. If you log in and see an error message "no organizations available" or you do not see an organization that you should, you need to go to Providence Bands on your browser and first log in through the browser.
What if I don’t want my personal information visible to other users?
You can select which information is visible to other users when you register – and you can change it at any time. Even if you don’t want your information seen by others, you’ll still want to register so you can receive communication from the Board.
What if I want to pay for my orders with a check/cash and not online with a credit card?
To pay for any orders/fees with a check or cash, please drop off payment in the Band Booster box located in the Band Room. Please ensure to place your payment in one of the envelopes provided. Once we receive your payment, we will update your students' account.
I still have questions. Can you help?
